There seem to be lots of things missing or that just plain don't work.
That's not a question. Its a statement. It's an honest mistake to be sure, but maybe its a sign that you should start spending more time thinking about how you might improve yourself and a little less time nitpicking every little detail of any given website.

MAG released

MAG is officially released today. The game is supposed to handle up to 256 players broken down into squads of 8. There is also a chain of command and while not required, incentives are doled out for following the orders of the squad leaders and whatnot.

They are sort of pitching this as never been tried, but the fact is, it has. Resistance 2 had this hierarchy as did Bad Company. While both games delivered on the scale they promised, neither had acceptable game-play and were a complete waste of money. That said, the trailers and game play videos I have seen look pretty cool. I just hope what im seeing converts to fun when played.

It has been known for a long time, especially in the PC space, that more players does not equal more fun. This game seems to have been in development forever.... who's making it, and what else have they done?

Here's hoping they took all the money they obviously didn't spend on marketing and put it towards development. Really? Massive Action Game? Really?

sometimes i fear that they look at the techojunkies playing FPS games and the goontards playing WoW and think they have to be able to develop a crossover market. I am not saying they can or cant. I am just saying that I know when im having fun and when im not. so far, they have failed to mmfps me. i have some of my own ideas about how they could roid up that entire market but no one has asked me. until they do, im sitting on it.

the first review i read is not good as it compares the gameplay to bad company which i initially stated sucked horribly. oh and in the review it says that zipper makes socom also. i didnt really like socom.

I'm pretty sure every possible combination of MMO + ____ has been pitched, and drawn up by now. It's all about who has the money to do it right.

I never played SOCOM but it never appealed to me. Does MAG have a demo?

i dunno about a demo. i doubt it. they probably wont make a decision about a demo until they get the first batch of reviews. if the reviews suck....no demo.

has anyone played this game yet? i wonder how it is....the only thing holding me back is the massive amounts of lag there is probably going to be, im not too fond of that.
