Just wondering how the American users feel about the bill. I have heard rumblings from some of my Canadian-turned-American friends that being forced to purchase private health care hinges on a bit 'too' socialist for their liking. Thoughts?

I personally am happy that something was passed but the bill overall is not what I was hoping for. With no public option the bill basically forces stronger regulations on insurance companies but they do not mind because they stand to make millions over the next couple of years over this. I just wish the US could decide some policies without having to cater to these companies that are so heavily embedded with politicians. I am not sure who said this joke but this situation made me think about it, we should force senators and congressman to wear their teams sponsored companies that way we are no longer fooling ourselves into thinking we have some greater values in this country besides capitalism.
