New subspecies of humans gives scientists the finger

http://t2.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:SkMqSZcWpfxT4M:http://i619.photobucket.com/albums/tt279/MonkBiz85/1christ-middle-finger.jpg For the first time through DNA testing a new hominin species has been discovered. What's even more remarkable is that this subspecies of humans is believed to have lived ony 40,000 years ago, around the same time as both Neanderthals and early modern humans.

The bone, from the pinky finger of a 5- to 7-year-old child, was found in the Denisova Cave tucked in the Altai Mountains in southern Siberia in 2008. It was surrounded by rudimentary tools and trappings of life dating from 48,000 to 30,000 years ago, with few other pieces of the body available to help anthropologists piece together what the being looked like.

In light of this recent finding....
the Texas museum of History plans to open their new exhibit next month entitled, Finding the Finger of Jesus. In addition, the Texas school board has added a new section in the science textbooks on whether evolution is able to explain the intricate and elaborate design of fossils fingers.
